i manually compiled version 1.0.1 and it works... i suggest to update the ebuild to the newer version...
Re-assign, maintainer seems to be MIA.

I updated the ebuild, now it automatically creates a desktop entry in the System section.

Created attachment 81412 [details] app-benchmarks/acovea-gtk-1.0.1-r2.ebuild I had some trouble on my unicode-system (results were not shown in acovea-gtk window due to Glib error. ebuild checks for USE unicode, applies acovea-gtk-1.0.1-unicode.patch
Created attachment 81413 [details, diff] acovea-gtk-1.0.1-unicode.patch The patch for app-benchmarks/acovea-gtk-1.0.1-r2.ebuild
Someone needs at least >=libcoyotl-3.1 and >=libevocosm-3.1, gcc had nothing to do, my bet is that someone ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~amd64 and pulled gcc-3.4.5 at the same time. I compiled mine with gcc-3.4.4 wihtout problem, and was able to reproduce the same problem with the wrong libraries.
this package is new and thus belongs to maintainer-wanted@gentoo.org Plenty of gentoo devs on CC, no one willing to maintain it?
(In reply to comment #12) > this package is new and thus belongs to maintainer-wanted@gentoo.org > > Plenty of gentoo devs on CC, no one willing to maintain it? > Been trying to build it, libsigc++ changed in funny ways. If someone manages to patch that mess to work (either make libsigc++ 2.0 compile or port acovea-gtk to libisgc++-2.2) ... (and that's why C++ is bad for your health ;) )
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
