Issue: dev-util/maturin-1.2.3 fails tests (hang).
Discovered on: amd64 (internal ref: ci)

Error(s) that match a know pattern:

error: the lock file /var/tmp/portage/dev-util/maturin-1.2.3/work/maturin-1.2.3/test-crates/lib_with_path_dep/Cargo.lock needs to be updated but --locked was passed to prevent this

As usual I have never been able to reproduce hangs even once with maturin despite running these tests a lot, so I really don't know. Never got any reports of hangs from anyone else either.

Either way, suspect the issue is going to be in cargo or something, and not sure i want to dig into figuring this out.

If the problem becomes common may try to go back to -j1 for tests to see if it helps, albeit tests become unbearably slow (esp. when doing all python targets).

For now I'll just leave this bug open to see if anything comes up.
