Hi, I think we can remove this package. As far as i know grub-splashes were for grub-1, which we don't have anymore. I see no reason to keep this. Also, unmaintained, EAPI6, dead homepage and following open bugs: https://bugs.gentoo.org/415307 https://bugs.gentoo.org/440452 https://bugs.gentoo.org/515012

I use it with Grub 2 and seems to work. Well, not critical for me some alternative exists ;)
