There are new versions of amanda avalable... I'm working on the latest version of amanda and only the 2.4.4-p3 is avalable... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Please use "New -> Gentoo Linux -> Component: Ebuilds" in future. The Portage developers are not the correct addressees.

I've been trying to build a new ebuild but failed. please find my very first try attached...
I am not 100% certain on this - but i believe it has to do with tar - it wants to patch an older version of tar perhaps? Portage is listing 1.14 and 1.15.1 here - and the patch seems to be for 1.12 - perhaps a closer look at what the patch fixes, and whether or not it has been fixed in either of the versions of tar that are in portage?
that's not possible. the patch-tar-1.14.90 is a patch for configure.in, the patch I have patches files given in the sources... I'll just post the 2 patches I got

after looking more closely to the sources... It is obvious that this patch cannot apply, allong with the samba patch.

amanda-2.4.5 in cvs now. I didn't use any of your stuff here, as the patch stuff you were doing was bogus.
