Ionen has done an amazing job with linux-mod-r1.eclass and the team would like all downstream consumers to migrate to this eclass. Detailed changes can be found in the commit message [1] [1] https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/31154/commits/e4b57b51b30fd348da8997aae6e4f651a0a132ce As this is a tracker bug for migrating to the new eclass, any linux-mod-r1.eclass bugs discovered should be addressed with new bug reports being opened.
