Description Giuseppe Iannello 2005-04-22 17:50:07 UTC
I tried to use transset on the battery icon in kicker. when I clicked, kde crashed and I got back to shell. pressing alt+f7 to see if kde was still alive, I get a "Init version 2.83 : restarting". now X won't start if LOAD "glx" is uncommented in /etx/X11/xorg.conf

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a shell and launch "transset"
2. click on the battery icon in kicker

Actual Results:
X crashed

Expected Results:
nothing =)

If you're using glibc-2.3.5 with -nptl and nvidia-glx, this is a known bug with a fix already in portage. Can you please update nvidia-glx (assuming this is nvidia) and opengl-update?

If not, what opengl implementation are you using? Can you update opengl-update? Please provide emerge --info
