After a few seconds of execution, the command "emerge xine-lib" complains by repeatedly displaying the line: 'Waiting for pci_names.o.lock to be removed' I have scoured my system for this file, and I can't find it. This is similar to another bug (not related to this ebuild), which asked me to remove client.o.lock, another non-existent file. My current portage-list is set up so that the command "emerge xine-lib" tries to compile xine-lib-1_rc8-r1.ebuild. My CFLAGS are: -O3 -pipe -march=prescott -fforce-addr -fbranch-probabilities -ftracer -fprefetch-loop-arrays -fomit-frame-pointer -fthread-jumps Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. execute the command "emerge xine-lib" from the console 2. wait while some of the xine-lib files compile 3. Restrain yourself from smashing the monitor, once the message in question repeatedly prints across the screen. Actual Results: It reprinted the message (see Details) on successive lines for quite some time. Then I just killed the process. Expected Results: It should have compiled the xine-library from the source code already fetched from the Gentoo servers. ############ Note: My kernel version is actually 2.6.10-r1, not 2.6.9-r1 as my ############ kernel-image name says. Try with MAKEOPTS="-j1"
please clean up your cflags.
Not the same package, but the problem is the same, duping that so a single solution can be found. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 78814 ***
