the libevent update hangs for the moment, as there is no stable thunderbird-102.7.x with the fixup in the ebuild yet. unmasking thunderbird-102.7.2 worked for me
Ebuilds of Firefox and Thunderbird were updated without revision bump, since they are big packages. Just bear it. Firefox 102.8.0 and 110.0 will be released today. As a workaround, you could manually rebuild firefox/thunderbird if you really want to update libevent immediately.
