See attached build.log Manually emerging x11-libs/libXmu allowed gimp to compile correctly For reference, I am building gimp with the following USE flags: -X -aalib +alsa -doc -gnome -heif -javascript -jpeg2k -jpegxl -lua +lua_single_target_luajit +mng -openexr -postscript -python +python_single_target_python3_10 -python_single_target_python3_11 -python_single_target_python3_9 -test +udev -unwind -vala -vector-icons -webp -wmf -xpm
