The header /usr/include/tracefs/tracefs.h should really belong to libtracefs. It is kind of a pain to handle the non-standard include directory for tracefs.h in dev-util/perf. I just want to depend on libtracefs and get the header in the right place. Maybe trace-cmd should depend on libtracefs and not install the header at all as a way to resolve this. If there's no objection to this, I will apply the changes to trace-cmd and libtracefs so I can drop in dev-util/perf the patch I need to make detection of libtracefs work during the build.
(In reply to Marcin Mirosław from comment #0) > * dev-util/trace-cmd-2.9.1:0::gentoo > * /usr/include/tracefs/tracefs.h > * for dev-util/trace-cmd, this have been fixed a while ago, the current least version - 3.1.4-r2 in portage tree doesn't contain this header file you can uninstall dev-util/trace-cmd first, and re-try
(In reply to Guilherme Amadio from comment #2) > The header /usr/include/tracefs/tracefs.h should really belong to > libtracefs. it's already this way as you expected > It is kind of a pain to handle the non-standard include > directory for tracefs.h in dev-util/perf. I see no change needed as it's already the ways as this.. I'm closing this, please re-open if you still have problem
(In reply to Yixun Lan from comment #4) > (In reply to Guilherme Amadio from comment #2) > > The header /usr/include/tracefs/tracefs.h should really belong to > > libtracefs. > it's already this way as you expected > No, it's not, this header is installed by trace-cmd, libtracefs installs this: $ qlist libtracefs | grep include /usr/include/libtracefs/tracefs.h So my comment was to change the above to tracefs/tracefs, and change trace-cmd to install somewhere else or depend on libtracefs.
