Hello,

   This is my fist ebuild so hopefully I did everything correct. Updated the ebuild for Opera 8.00beta2 to Opera 8.00beta3. There's a lot of changes and bug fixes from the previous version. I did an emerge with the new ebuild in my portage overlay and installed fine.

could we have shared version under amd64? I've emerged shared one from edited ebuild and I've been running it for about two month's, never had any problems, lately I've been running static version on my amd64 box but it crashed few times so I went back to shared and it's working great, You can always put ewarning  "shared version is less stable, use static" or so.
BTW. skype runs better when I use static version.

digest-opera-8.00

so you don't have to download 4 versions when you only need the one. this is
just for hash checking.place in the files directory of your portdir_overlay.
eg.
/usr/local/portage/www-client/opera/opera-8.00.ebuild
/usr/local/portage/www-client/opera/files/digest-opera-8.00

Manifest file for ebuild and digest - put it under www-client/opera/ of your
overlay directory.
It's not really necessary, but can make things easier ;)

opera-8 is now in portage, sorry for the delay. it also works on amd64 again.
