Can you try gnome-pilot-2.0.13-r1? This has got a revision of the netsync patch by one of the developers but synced against the CVS in january. I've just committed that to portage, but I do not have a netsync capable PDA.

Gnome Pilot 2.0.14 was released. See http://live.gnome.org/GnomePilot for more information, including a patch for a memory leak.
The bug marked as duplicate seems to have some preliminary ebuilds, though no clue if they are necessary. pilot-link-0.12.1 is out and that shouldn't be a blocker anymore as noted in the other bug. Adjusting bug title for version numbers
There is a memory leak in gnome-pilot 2.0.14; the wiki page links to an patch which is told to be in use in Ubuntu.
According to following infos, gnome-pilot should not depend on >=app-pda/pilot-conduit-0.11.7 but rather on =app-pda/pilot-conduit-0.11* from http://www.pilot-link.org/ : If you're syncronizing with Evolution, installing this over the top of your previous 0.11.8 pilot-link installation will break Evolution. They've got some porting work to do to get the new pilot-link API working with the older Evolution and conduit API in gnome-pilot. from http://live.gnome.org/GnomePilot : Note: Evolution conduits are not part of the gnome-pilot distribution, and have not yet been ported to the pilot-link 0.12.x API. However, there is a candidate patch that seems to work well.

gnome-pilot >=2.0.14 doesn't handle well --as-needed yet. I'll make a patch when I have sometime.
Created attachment 110923 [details, diff] gnome-pilot-2.0.15.ebuild.patch patch against current gnome-pilot-2.0.13 in portage that uses the --as-needed patch to follow. gnome-pilot-conduits only needs a simple bump
Created attachment 110925 [details, diff] gnome-pilot-2.0.15-gpilotd-makefile.patch fixes libgpilotconduit linking.
Okay, they're in the tree and build fine with --as-needed.
