When trying to compile gnome-vfs I get this error: /bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la: No such file or directory libtool: link: `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la' is not a valid libtool archive make[3]: *** [libfile.la] Error 1 It can't find that file. I do have it, however. It's located at: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.5/libstdc++.la Something to do with the 2005.0 profile, maybe? this sounds like if you run fix_libtool_files.sh ( and read the usage ) you should be okay. as root type fix_libtool_files.sh and read what it says. Repost with the results after you run it. This is also covered in an FAQ located here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-279020.html Thanks!
That worked. Thanks a lot. (Concerning the FAQ: I sure wish search worked better. *g*)
