Emerging wxPython issues an error about insensitive case comparing for your OS. I've found that running ./configure on var/tmp/portage/wxPython-2.4.24/work/.... seems to fix the problem. If re-emerge the package problems just disappear. May be an .ebuild mistake?. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge wxpython (actually spe) 2. You get a compiler error 3. run ./configure on /tmp/portage/wxPython-2.4.4/work/wxPythonSrc-2.4.2.4. It seems to fix the problem. Actual Results: Emerging success. Expected Results: Run configure (if it doesn't) before 'make install'. We're going to need the exact error message when it failed please.
It was very strange but when I reemerge wxpython again for copy and paste the error It's just disappeared. I don't know what could happen. I'd tried to emerge it four times before I sent the bug all were erroneous but now It downloads and compiles perfectly. It's really strange. Sorry by the inconveniences.
No problem. Closing.
