Description Christian Zoffoli (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-31 12:18:14 UTC
I have found that apps linked with newt-0.50.35 crash with the new and more strict glibc. The typical output is "glibc detected *** double free or corruption ...".

I have tried newt-0.51.6 and all works as expected (http://dev.gentoo.org/~xmerlin/misc/newt-0.51.6.tar.gz)

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
linked apps crash sometimes

Comment 2 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-01 04:28:33 UTC
Christian, the package has no metadata.xml, so if you would like to be its maintainer, please take it and create a metadata.xml for it with you listed. Also, please search bugzilla and take all the newt/newt-related bugs.

Thanks,
Comment 3 Christian Zoffoli (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-01 04:59:37 UTC
ok I'll take it
Comment 4 Christian Zoffoli (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-01 05:52:36 UTC
newt-0.51.6 is in cvs now.
I marked it stable on x86 to close this severe bug.
