Description Rob David 2005-03-18 15:48:56 UTC
After upgrading to glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1, I found that firefox froze on web pages that contained flash. On downgrading back to glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, flash based pages were working again.

I am using net-www/netscape-flash-7.0.25

emerge --info (after downgrading):

Comment 1 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-03-18 16:03:34 UTC
did you restart X and other friendly apps after upgrading glibc ?
Comment 2 Rob David 2005-03-18 17:50:18 UTC
Yes, the machine got rebooted between upgrading glibc and me noticing the problem (if I read my log files right :-)
Comment 3 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-19 06:31:15 UTC
Is this still a problem with the latest stable glibc?
Comment 4 Rob David 2005-12-19 15:05:09 UTC
Doesn't seem to be. I am currently running glibc-2.3.5-r2, with flash 7.0.61, without any problems.
Comment 5 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-19 15:25:54 UTC
reopening...
Comment 6 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-19 15:26:07 UTC
to mark fixed.
