Probably a dupe of #85177.
Comment 2 STefan 2005-03-14 12:53:22 UTC
First upgrade gnoconfig and maybe gettext, then it should compile fine. Had the same problem, after I upgraded to the latest gettext and gnuconfig the compile error was gone
Comment 3 Aaron Tandy 2005-03-15 03:42:43 UTC
I have something kind of like the same error
>>> Unpacking xmms-1.2.10-gentoo-m4-1.0.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/xmms-mikmod-1.2.10/work
You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.
aclocal: couldn't open directory `/var/tmp/portage/xmms-mikmod-1.2.10/work/m4':No such file or directory

!!! ERROR: media-plugins/xmms-mikmod-1.2.10 failed.
!!! Function xmms-plugin_src_unpack, Line 78, Exitcode 1
!!! aclocal failed

stefan recommended updating gnuconfig and gettext
but i have the latest version of both
gnuconfig-20050223
gettext-0.14.2
Comment 4 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-15 12:08:24 UTC
This should be fixed. Please --sync and try again
Comment 5 Aaron Tandy 2005-03-15 14:58:50 UTC
The error still exists here, Jeremy
Although xmms compiled fine after the --sync,
I now get the same aclocal macro that Urs originally posted

>>> Unpacking xmms-1.2.10-gentoo-m4-1.0.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/xmms-mikmod-1.2.10/work
You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.
aclocal: macro `jm_AC_TYPE_LONG_LONG' required but not defined

!!! ERROR: media-plugins/xmms-mikmod-1.2.10 failed.
!!! Function xmms-plugin_src_unpack, Line 78, Exitcode 1
!!! aclocal failed

if I'm getting ahead of myself and the fix will soon be in portage, sorry
Comment 6 Urs Joss 2005-03-16 02:08:01 UTC
installed fine now. Thanks for the fix.
Comment 7 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-16 03:09:04 UTC
whoops... it didn't commit... please resync and try again, thanks.
