It doesn't look like the patch for the following Xorg bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1991 has been included in the current patch list

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start X
2. Press Alt-Crtl-F1
3.

Actual Results:
My system freezes.

Expected Results:
I expected to get a console.

What patch? Where's the patch on that bug?

Which version of xorg-x11 are you using? Try 6.8.2-r1 if you aren't using it already.

Please reopen when you respond.

Info abt. the bug can be found here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1991. According to a post, the bug is gone in Xorg 6.8.2. Currently I use 6.8.0-r4. I'm not sure if they backported a patch that you can apply to the 6.8.0 but I was hoping the did sinze 6.8.2 is masked. If this cannot be fixes in 6.8.0-r? then just close the bug and I'll upgrade.

I reread your questions... I do not know if there is a patch... I know there is a fix but I don't know if patch files exist anywhere.

No, just use 6.8.2 as I said in comment #1. It's stable now.
