Description Tobias 2005-03-07 06:42:32 UTC
reply on command adsl-status while adsl is active : adsl-status: Link is down (can't read pppoe PID file /var/run/pppoe.conf-adsl.pid.pppoe)
reply to adsl-stop: adsl-stop: No ADSL connection appears to be running
results are, i am not able to kill my adsl-connection via adsl-stop.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.run adsl-start
2.try adsl-status
3.try adsl-stop

seems to me that file "/var/run/pppoe.conf-adsl.pid.pppoe" is not created by the
newest rp-pppoe version.
noticed this problem only after the last update via emerge -uD world.
seemed to work fine before, but i wouldn't promise.

it's official then; this bug is a duplicate of the famous invalid bug 76025

people, use etc-update/dispatch-conf when you see some config files are modified.
don't ignore them!
