Hi!

Please find attached gnomolicious-0.5.0.ebuild. Currently, it doesn't run yet. It doesn't install correctly, yet.

The author seemed to copy straw's distutils setup.py script, so I also peeked at straw's ebuild.

Before I added the --disable-schemas-install flag, the ebuild was trying to write to read image/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults, which doesn't exist. Probably we can circumvent sandbox here?

Then I added the --disable-schemas-install. But the gnome2_gconf_install() greps CONTENTS for files merged in /etc/gconf/schemas, only to find nothing there. Currently, I wasn't able to tell the ebuild to install the GConf schemas.

gnomolicious is a GNOME way to post at del.icio.us.

I noticed www-misc/bookmarksync, so LATER when the ebuild is working, we can put it there.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge the ebuild.

Actual Results:
GConf schema is not installed in /etc/gconf/schemas. This caused the
gnome2_gconf_install() function in gnome2.eclass to do nothing.

BTW, trying to run via "Applications" -> "Accessories" -> "del.icio.us Link
Poster" causes gnome-panel's Window List to show "Starting del.icio.us Link
Poster", but died afterwards.

Expected Results:
Installs GConf schemas.

(And maybe made it run, but that's another issue).

gtk+-2.5.4
gnome-2.8.1-r1

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug)
'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached
to this bug.
This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the
main tree.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us.
We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time.

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Jeremy.
