https://blogs.gentoo.org/ago/2020/07/04/gentoo-tinderbox/ Issue: media-gfx/blender-3.0.0 installs .desktop files that do not pass validation. Discovered on: amd64 (internal ref: ci)
Created attachment 757376 [details] build.log.xz build log and emerge --info (compressed because it exceeds attachment limit, use 'xzless' to read it)
I've known about this for quite a while. However the upstream devs don't see any harm in keeping the deprecated flag as they support linux distros where the new one might not be supported yet. Do you have any list of versions or dates for when the non deprecated flag for this is supported? IE: Ubuntu 18.04: No 20.04: Yes Or: KDE Plasma 5.0: No 5.9: Yes If we have information like that, it would be easier to convince upstream to drop it. However I haven't been able to find information like this myself.
