After starting x (xorg-x11), any resolution change results in a corrupted screen. this includes changing to text mode eithe by exiting X, or by switching to a VT (ctrl-alt-F1)
Cycling back to the initial resolution will return a clean display.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.edit /etc/xorg.conf to use Driver "vesa"
3.exit X, or change resolution
Corruption of display. Display is still responsive, but appears to be unaware
that the resolution has changed.
Switched modes without corruption
SMP, 2.6.10, no USE flags defined, s3 Trio 64, xorg 6.8.0-r3
