Former versions of portage didn't notice an error during compilation of sys-devel/bin86, so as86 and ld86 were installed und you could compile lilo. The actual version of portage recognises the error and will not install anything of bin86, so lilo cannot be compiled. I've created a amd64-lilo-special-edition of bin86 which provides only the programs needed to compile lilo on amd64-systems as bug #88911.
alright, I fixed bin86, so this is in..
