Webmin is supposed to have a Bootup/Shutdown module accessible under the System menu. It does not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open browser 2.Go to host with webmin 3.Attempt to find bootup/shutdown buttons Actual Results: You never find a shutdown button. Expected Results: You can find a shutdown button.
We install all the webmin modules plus virtualmin... if youu want another one added to the default selsction, ask upstream to include it.
The "Bootup and Shutdown" module is actually the "init" module; any attempt to install the init module results in a "This module is not supported by Gentoo Linux, version any." In digging further, the init module is reliant upon the rc?.d script paradigm - which obviously Gentoo does not have. I will ask the webmin maintainers to separate the simple task of "Shutdown" so that we can have this feature with a Gentoo Webmin implementation. Thanks!
