Description Roman Gaufman 2005-01-30 10:07:58 UTC
Quite trivial. Just a new revision for patch_pack28p from spiral voice.

I think you should also unhardmask 2.5.28 -- its considered as stable (if not more so) than 2.5.16 and upstream seem to recommend it over 2.5.16 these days.

An ebuild that fetches the new unstable mldonkey from svn would be great also.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

2-5-28q has already been released.

The update path from 2-5-16 to 2-5-28 is not trivial because of incompatabilities
of ini files, read my homepage for more details:
http://download.berlios.de/pub/mldonkey/spiralvoice/

Regarding the SVN code, which is based on CVS 2-5-29, the upgrade is much more
complicated because current EDK downloads *will* get corrupted. Starting in a
clean environment from scratch should work though.

This bug is a duplicate of bug 78140: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78140

Thanks for that. But do you think 2.5.28 should remain hard masked rather than just masked?

Its not trivial to update from .16 to .28 so dont mark it stable, but the time when .28 was considered dangerous and file corrupting is over, or am I wrong?

That time is definitely over, I am using 2-5-28r for weeks now without such problems...
