Every time I issue "emerge -auvD world" sdl-perl is listed for emerge. And currently it switches between sdl-perl-1.20.3 and sdl-perl-2.1.2-r1. If I remove the -D switch it doesn't try to downgrade and it also doesn't try to downgrade of I issue "emerge -auvD sdl-perl" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run "emerge -auvD world" 2. one version of sdl-perl is emerged 3. run "emerge -auvD world" 4. another sdl-perl version is emege, the installed one is unmerged Actual Results: sdl-perl keeps upgrading to dl-perl-2.1.2-r1 and then downgrading to sdl-perl-1.20.3 and then upgrading again and so on with every emerge. Expected Results: The latest version should always be selected and if it is marked stable it should not be downgraded. Why is this marked as duplicate of some frozen bubble bug. I think this is a portage bug as masking sdl-perl 2.1.2 also doesn't helo and emerge also updates to it despite of it being masked.
because that's life
