please see the given URL for details on what i have already tried to solve the issue.
In short: i cannot compile kdemultimedia and have searched bugzilla and gentoo forums for solutions, found some, tried them and still had no luck.

accidentally set to critical, now reduced to major.

hm, i'm probably doing something stupid here, but, really, i tried fixing the problem by using the fix_libtool_files.sh script with argument 3.3.4

as i stated in my earlier comments, that did not help.

is this script idempotent?
