can you see the USB printer with lsusb or inxi -J? Please attach the .config from the old and new kernel and reopen this ticket

I can see printer via lsusb. (see att.) when i put a memorycard in the printer, files can be accessed. Also scanner is OK
Also with linux-5.11.12-gentoo-dist same problem.
Finally disabled USB support in cups (via local use-flag). OK. other method: Disable USB_PRINTER in kernel did not solve problem. cfr warning after emerge of cups with usbsupport. tested with different levels of kernel.
On a older system with cups with USB enebled: net-print/cups-2.3.3-r1::gentoo was built with the following: USE="X acl dbus pam ssl systemd threads usb -debug -kerberos -lprng-compat (-selinux) -static-libs -xinetd -zeroconf" ABI_X86="32 (64) (-x32)" and kernel kernel-config-5.10.3-gentoo-x86_64 CONFIG_USB_PRINTER=m No problem at all.
