Allegedly there is support for gstreamer outputting to JACK-IT sound sink requires: -ebuilds made for media-plugins/gst-plugins-jack -figure out how to make JACK show up as an option in gstreamer-properties, as there are reports from users of other distros who claim it should show up.

word is from #gstreamer... 13:47 < mathrick> jnc: making jacksink work is one of 0.9 tasks, but if you can figure how to make it work before, you'll be highly regarded for that :) anyone want to take a crack at this?
you know you want to, foser
wait until gstreamer 0.9 :)
so why is this still missing ? it's 6 years later now - which is like forever :(
This bug was closed 5 years ago. If you have a bug report or feature request, it'd be better to open a new bug, rather than comment on a bug that has been buried and forgotten for 5 years. However I can say that gst-plugins-jack is in the tree now, and gstreamer-properties supports custom pipelines where it could be set (albeit less conveniently than it showing up automatically).
