i can't reproduce this issue, even when forcing icedtea-bin-8. anyway, if the issue really exists, the stack overflow issue occurs in java itself (class java.util.regex.Pattern is part of java and not part of jflex) and it imo should be fixed there to avoid endless loops.
Comment 3 Miroslav Šulc gentoo-dev 2021-03-29 07:22:03 UTC
just for clarification, i tested that issue only on amd64, i don't have access to x86.
Comment 4 Jakov Smolić archtester gentoo-dev 2021-11-11 10:32:23 UTC
Rrproduced again with x86.
@fordfrog: Do you want to stabilize 1.6.1-r1 on x86 regardless of this failure?
Comment 5 Miroslav Šulc gentoo-dev 2021-11-11 10:46:23 UTC
yes please. imo this is really issue of java itself and not jflex. thank you.
