Description Henrik Holst 2005-01-11 03:21:51 UTC
Please find attached the hpacucli-7.17.1.ebuild which is the HP Array Configuration Utility CLI, the console array configuration utility for most (if no all modern) HP raid arrays.

Successfully tested on a 3502 controller on a ML350G2 HP/Compaq server. Since this is a binary package it is x86 only.

I suggest app-admin/hpacucli

I can't find any Python in this. Was this miss-wrangled?
Comment 3 Henrik Holst 2005-01-20 12:20:14 UTC
Strange that this was miss-wrangled to the python group :-(, this is a very necessary package for us who use Gentoo on HP/Compaq proliant servers with big raids, so I do hope that it will make it into portage someday, but then I figure that the developers are busy doing other important stuff too :-)

Comment 7 James Gagnon 2008-07-25 20:15:24 UTC
On Portage 2.1.4.4 (default/linux/amd64/2008.0, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.6.1-r0, 2.6.21-xen0 x86_64)

I'd got the following error using the ebuild from comment 6.
/opt/compaq/hpacucli/bld/.hpacucli: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Resolved by installing:
app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-compat

Patch for hpacucli-8.0-r14 to support AMD64

Here's the patch to support hpacucli on amd64. lib-compat is not appropriate there but emul-linux-x86-compat is what's needed

Aggrr! I forgot to add "sys-apps/coreutils" in the dependency list. Sorry.

forget about my last Comment, it was my fault.

Didn't activate:
