Description Jonathan Geisler 2005-01-10 20:42:34 UTC
I updated to the digikam-0.7.1 (~x86 masked) ebuild today and I cannot get the executable to get past the splash screen. I've included the output below, but it looks like some kind of bad interaction between other KDE components, but I'm not too knowledgeable on that system.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge digikam
2. digikam

Actual Results:

Comment 1 Tom Payne (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-11 03:07:24 UTC
Note: herd listed in metadata.xml is kde-other. This is not a valid Bugzilla alias.
Comment 2 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-11 04:58:18 UTC
This seems related to running an app linked with kdelibs-3.3 in a kde-3.2 session...

does it help if you run 'kbuildsycoca' before digikam?
Comment 3 Michiel de Bruijne 2005-02-08 07:49:41 UTC
Works over here, reporter hasn't given any response for almost a month, how about closing this bug as a "NEEDINFO"
Comment 4 Simone Gotti (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-08 08:55:58 UTC
Yes. This looks reasonable. Thanks.

Jonathan: Please inform us if you tried the Gregorios's suggestion and if it works.
