Created attachment 47972 [details] mimetic-0.8.8.ebuild This is an ebuild for mimetic-0.8.8. It appears to work on x86, although I couldn't make it compile on amd64. Be kind, it's my first complete ebuild. :-)
Please attach ebuilds as text/plain, so bugzilla can easily display them without having to download and view offline.
edited, thanks for the tip
The ebuild looks fine, but for two issues: 1. The lines "cd doc" and "cd .." should go inside the "if use doc" clause to save two commands with USE="-doc". 2. The configure command looks pretty standard, so why not just use "econf"?
Created attachment 48035 [details] updated mimetic-0.8.8.ebuild New ebuild with the suggested changes. Also added a doc step for the examples.
Created attachment 49136 [details] Error output from mimetic compile This is what I get from the compilation (I'm using gcc 3.4.3).
Created attachment 62602 [details] the ebuild I haven't checked the existing attachements thoroughly, but thought it may make sense if I attach an ebuild I've had for a while locally (and it worked for me on a few machines). Besides, it's a new version (as far as I remember I've had problems with earlier versions and had to do some patching, don't remember details.
Created attachment 122211 [details] mimetic-0.9.3.ebuild (In reply to comment #7) > Besides, it's a new version (as far as I remember I've had problems with > earlier versions and had to do some patching, don't remember details. Sorry, but it's not immediately apparent *which* version your ebuild is for. I generated a simple ebuild for mimetic-0.9.3 lastnight, on my way to testing decimail-server... figured I'd post my ebuild. So here it is. Mark
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy. Created attachment 428172 [details] mimetic-0.9.8.ebuild This is what I've been using for the development version of mail-client/trojita.
