After emerging xorg-6.8.1.901, mplayer and xine stoped working. I tried emerging them again (mplayer and xine) but no avail, they both emerged successfully but the erros reapear. FWIW, mplayer 1.0pre6 works for me with xorg-6.8.1.901

My machine is an amd64 (i forgot to add that) and by changing the /usr/X11R6/lib to /usr/X11R6/lib.old and creating a link equal to /usr/X11R6/lib64 : /usr/X11R6/lib -> /usr/lib64/ the problems were solved. So for compilation with 64 bits (amd64) the ebuild needs to be changed to create that link.
