Description Giacomo Graziosi 2005-01-01 08:12:44 UTC
Please make an ebuild for wxbase bacause amule 2.0.0 rc8 can work in a X-less enviroment using wxbase.
Thank you.

wxbase blocks wxGTK because it overwrites many of its files. If someone comes up with a way to install amule without wxGTK I'd put wxbase in portage.

AFAIK wxBase is not needed (even with amule-deamon), it is said in amule wiki: "NOTE: In wxWidgets >= 2.5.1, wxBase is not distributed as a separate tarball. So if you are going to compile wxGTK 2.5.x, skip the second step (wxBase compilation)."

I've self-compiled wxGTK-2.5.4 and it works without having to compile wxBase afterwards. However, some people may not want to compile wxGTK but only wxBase so I see no reason to don't add it to portage, of course blocking these two things.
