Hi, see attached new ebuild for ffproxy-1.6-RC2, a HTTP/HTTPS proxy server. Here is its description as on freshmeat.net: ``ffproxy is a filtering HTTP/HTTPS proxy server. It is able to filter by host, URL, and header. Custom header entries can be filtered and added. It can even drop its privileges and optionally chroot() to some directory. Logging to syslog() is supported, as is using another auxiliary proxy server. An HTTP accelerator feature (acting as a front-end to an HTTP server) is included. Contacting IPv6 servers as well as binding to IPv6 is supported and allows transparent IPv6 over IPv4 browsing (and vice versa).'' I'm also the author of the software package, so if you have any questions or suggestions for building enhancements, that should make it in the final 1.6 release, please contact me.

ffproxy-1.6 was released, above ebuild works for 1.6, too.
ffproxy is now in our unofficial overlay: http://svn.gnqs.org/projects/gentoo-webapps-overlay/browser Please note that the overlay is unofficial, not a Gentoo project, and not supported. It is intended to provide easier access to new web applications. Please consider updating your website accordingly :)
