Comment 1 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-15 01:08:19 UTC
Just as an update: this appears to still be an issue with the newer glibc
builds, do we plan on fixing it?
Comment 2 Sandro Bonazzola (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-09 12:06:59 UTC
confirmed on glibc-2.3.6-r2

ptchown+sfperm.patch

Tested with glibc-2.3.5
makes vanilla compilers shutup when +stricter is enabled.
adds sfperms behavior to the suids by default.
Comment 4 Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-30 03:09:02 UTC
Can someone please have a look at this? It doesn't look good if a system package merge dies with "stricter" in FEATURES.
Comment 5 Josh Nichols (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-26 13:34:09 UTC
Also occurs with sys-libs/glibc-2.3.6-r4.
Comment 6 Philipp Riegger 2006-09-23 10:38:33 UTC
Same problem with glibc 2.4-r3
