build.log.xz

build log and emerge --info (compressed because it exceeds attachment limit, use 'xzless' to read it)

Not reproducible, please attach ${BUILD_DIR}/config.log.

Hi, can you try if gcc-config/binutils-config with -native-symlinks help to reproduce?

I've hit this too while updating a machine after a while. What I noticed is that with assimp 5.0.1 (which I had installed), I hit this bug. With the latest version (5.2.2) everything worked fine.
