What about 2.9.1?
VAConfigAttribPredictionDirection was added in libva-2.6.0 libva-utils use it since 2.6.0 as well, so will fail with older libva
While it's declared that all versions of libva-utils are compatible with libva version 1.0, this is not correct as clear from this bug comments. Every new libva version is usually published alongside with corresponding libva-utils version. To avoid this and possible similar bugs in the future, let's require similar libva version for every libva-utils version as it is the only tested combination by upstream. See my PR: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/18943
The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=5ce2cf9753e15d292d309f4bdae73ee673d9009c commit 5ce2cf9753e15d292d309f4bdae73ee673d9009c Author: Karlson2k (Evgeny Grin) <k2k@narod.ru> AuthorDate: 2021-01-04 14:39:56 +0000 Commit: Sam James <sam@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2021-01-04 16:55:17 +0000 media-video/libva-utils: fixed dependencies, minor other fixes 1. While it is declared that libva-utils are backward compatible with the older version of libva, it is not truth. Let's require similar version of libva as dependency. Bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/743835 2. Xext, Xfixes and libdrm are not required anymore starting from version 2.7.1 of libva-utils. Dropped. 3. Sometimes the upstream publishes tarballs with generated 'configure'. Let's use it.
