I recently upgraded to perl-5.8.6-r1, and tried to run the libperl_rebuilder script in /usr/portage/dev-lang/perl/files, then found that it is rw-r--r--. chmodding this to 744 made it work, but shouldn't it come that way? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Could you please also install it in /usr/sbin like python-updater? At best it would be renamed, too. I'd love to see a common scheme for all the scripting langauges to handle such issues. {perl,python,ruby}-updater or something like this would be far simpler for everyone.
