when I tried to emerge libxslt (first as part of the kde emerge, and then on its own), the compile crashed with thi error:
In file included from crypto.c:321:
/usr/include/gcrypt.h:28:23: gpg-error.h: No such file or directory


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.x86 system
2.do not have -crypt in USE
3.emerge libxslt

Actual Results:  
the compile aborted

Expected Results:  
not aborted

Actually a dupe, are you using a 2004.3 stage?

See, libxslt depends on libgcrypt.
libgcrypt depends on gpg-error.

I believe this dependency was missing in the 2004.3 snapshot, but it should be remedied now. Can you please do:

emerge sync
emerge libxslt

That should catch the missing gpg-error.

This isn't the same bug.

I'm getting the same problem, and I emerge sync daily.
