Description Reva Denis 2020-07-15 12:43:14 UTC
Good daytime!
I suggested example page to add information for end users about GURU https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/User:RarogCmex/Project:GURU/End_User_Guide
You may change it, suggest new page, use it as is or be lazy and do nothing :-)
The reason is simplify guru connection and give the point how to connect it if we would reffer to the package from GURU (example: I'll write guide for media-libs/amdvlk)

Reproducible: Always

I like this idea! It is important to have an easy and simple guide for the users, because it increases the chance of those users actually using the packages we commit to GURU.

Based on the draft version you linked, I do have a concrete suggestion: The Project:GURU page links to 'Information for Contributors', 'Information for Trusted Contributors' and 'Information for Gentoo Developers', might I therefore suggest to name this page 'Information for Users' or 'Information for End-Users' to keep it in-style with the rest.

I have no strong opinion on this. I'd appreciate if someone else looked at it.

@bman?

Because this has been open for quite some time now, we could alternatively also add a bit of text on this to GURU's README file: https://github.com/gentoo/guru/blob/master/README.md ?
