From nv-codec-headers-9.1.23.1 ebuild: RDEPEND="${DEPEND} >=x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-435.21[${MULTILIB_USEDEP}] This high version dependency is a problem for users of the legacy driver version 390.132 (0/390). The driver versions >400.00 did not support some older GPU hardware anymore such as the 400 and 500 series. Please review if this high version of nvidia-drivers is really required. Looking at the other bug referenced below, it looks like the solution is to change this ebuild.
