emerge -uDNav world this morning upgraded to media-libs/alsa-lib-1.2.3 from 1.2.2-r1. When I restarted the computer, I had no sound and found that I was getting segfaults for pulseaudio. I tried rebuilding multiple things to aleveate the problem and nothing worked. Downgrading alsa-lib worked and now I have audio and pulseaudio.
