For the past couple weeks I am unable to use GNS3 as dynamips immediately crashes when starting the nodes in GNS3. => Dynamips hypervisor process has stopped, return code: -11 C3725 'Ghost': generic_nvram_extract_config: Unknown error -61605 I don't notice anything odd in the logs in the GNS3 project folder except for this error. Tried several things, compiled dynamips with GCC 9.3.0 and 10.1.0 and tried reverting to previous package versions with no joy. Found info online saying to use a 32 bit version of dynamips although that appears a bit kludgy as the 64 bit version has worked for me up until now: https://github.com/GNS3/gns3-server/issues/1363 I Certainly I am not alone with this problem. To test the "fix" of using a 32 bit version of dynamips I used a compiled version from this: https://rpmfind.net/linux/opensuse/tumbleweed/repo/oss/i586/dynamips-0.2.21-1.2.i586.rpm as dynamips on gentoo doesn't support the abi_x86_32 USE flag. This does work and I am able to run dynamips under GNS3. I can't pinpoint the exact day I used a working 64 bit version of dynamips, but I am thinking it was in the last week of June. Again this is onn all three of my systems. I did my best to resolve it myself, but never got it to work again until today (although this isn't truly a fix). Although adding the abi_x86_32 USE flag to dynamips would work, it doesn't solve the underlying issue of the 64 bit version not working.
