Description Spoofed Existence 2004-11-27 05:46:03 UTC
After emerging mono (accepting keyword "~amd64"), certain files are missing (for example mono and mono.pc). Others (like mcs) seem to be working fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge mono

Actual Results:
Mono seemed to install properly, though when trying to install other components
of the dotnet system (like gtk-sharp-1.0.4) it reported that mono was not
installed. Nor was I able to find any file on the system with the name
"mono.pc", nor an executable file called "mono".
$ whereis mono
mono: /etc/mono /usr/lib/mono /usr/include/mono /usr/share/mono
/usr/man/man1/mono.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/mono.1.gz

Expected Results:
The files "mono" and "mono.pc" should exist somewhere on the disk.
(From a friend: )
$ whereis mono
mono: /usr/bin/mono /etc/mono /usr/lib/mono /usr/include/mono /usr/share/mono
/usr/man/man1/mono.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/mono.1.gz
