I run ppp tunnels over my treo. Since it uses usb it's NOT stable...
ppp queves USB errors. once It dies i poff
then dmesg|tail

Nov 25 16:46:05 lappy pppd[10002]: Sent 109671 bytes, received 161308 bytes.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. get connection running
2. ping for about 10 minutes or until connection drops
3. poff

Actual Results:  
exactly what I have described

Expected Results:  
worked...

can't run strace...
KERNEL IS B0RKED NOT COOL

run ppp in debug mode and post here the relevant logs.
please be a little more specific about your problem.
