I am using version 5.1.5 since some time without a problem. It would be very helpful to get this stabilized. Please look into stabilization of this version including it's dependencies.

So the old bugs are fixed as well as all QA issues in sci-electronics/kicad-5.1.5-r2.

There is an open bug for app-doc/kicad-doc-5.1.5, but I could not repo it yet.

I really need to set up a Gentoo stable amd64 container and try to figure out if there are any other dependencies for this to go stable, unless there are magic tools that can tell me that. I'll give it a stab this weekend.

I've started working on this, and AFAIK there are dependencies missing that need to be stabilized first. I've finally had the time to set up a AMD64 container for testing dependencies and expect submitting more stable requests this week to move this forward.

It seems that VTK won't be stabilized because of science project policies, while wxpython stabilization did not have much progress either. I'm closing this just like #735456 was closed, as the ebuilds have been dropped to ~arch.
