As a workaround you can disable stack protector as in config:

    CONFIG_STACKPROTECTOR=y
    CONFIG_STACKPROTECTOR_STRONG=y

Or use proposed patch.

I think this patch is committed to fix the early panic. I can confirm it fixes the issue on my computer
