Description Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2020-02-05 15:36:10 UTC
This is the only revdep of weboob, and also the only blocker for google-api-python-client which in turn is a blocker for a whole lot of packages, including forcing downgrades on users.
Comment 1 Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2020-02-05 15:37:54 UTC
Hmm, I suppose we could mask dev-python/weboob[X] to resolve the immediate problem.
Comment 2 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2020-02-05 15:44:02 UTC
Maybe a weboob-py3 bump is not that far away? See also linked bug.
Comment 3 Laurent Bachelier 2020-02-05 18:18:57 UTC
Weboob 1.5 can already run under Python 3 so that can be changed if necessary.

I'm not sure how much that helps for kmymoney though, which appears to depend on python2 to make use of weboob.
Comment 5 Jack 2020-06-05 22:52:27 UTC
It looks like weboob has been treecleaned in the meantime (overzealous?)
KMyMoney is fine without weboob/python2 - it's absolutely optional. My best guess is that either KMyMoney will simply drop weboob support, or if someone steps up to update it, confirming weboob can use python3 will be done at the same time.

All py2 must go.
